Hanh Ultra Crisp

Hanh Ultra Crisp

TMA Commercial has been a proud partner of creative agencies associated with Lion Beers since early 2015. In February 2019, LionCo Australia collaborated with us to develop a marketing campaign aimed at executing a highly impactful launch for the newest addition to the Hahn family: Ultra Crisp, a full-strength beer brewed from rice, born from a revolutionary brewing process.

Strategy

“If it’s on display, it will sell!” is a saying that often derives from the beer industry. Recognizing the influential role of displays in the beer industry, our strategy for the Ultra Crisp project was to disrupt customers' attention and engage them through a captivating display that prominently showcased 6-packs.

Cost-effective Strategies

Leveraging our access to cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions in the digital printing industry, TMA Commercial transformed this challenge into an opportunity. Our primary objective was to produce bulk 6-pack display units that were not only cost-effective but also aimed at driving a high return on investment (ROI) for the Ultra Crisp campaign.

Solution

Not only did our merchandising solution allow for tremendous stock weight, but also the ability to deliver significant messaging real estate, communicating Ultra-crisp’s unique product attributes:

  • Low Carb
  • 99% Sugar-Free
  • Gluten-Free
  • Preservative Free

TMA Commercial established a truly unique off-location display unit, exclusively accommodating for the launch of 6-packs as opposed to cartons.

Achievement

By May 2019, LionCo estimated that the launch of Ultra Crisp had contributed to approximately 30% of the overall volume of the Hahn brand, solidifying its success and market penetration. TMA Commercial's collaboration with LionCo for the Ultra Crisp campaign stands as a testament to our ability to deliver effective merchandising solutions that not only drive sales but also capture consumers' attention and communicate the unique attributes of the product.

Dante Says

"The Ultra Crisp campaign particularly reflects our passion for delivering cost-effective solutions that not only meet an organisations sustainability goals, but also drive Return on Investment."

Monster F1 Campaign - Australia

Monster F1 Campaign - Australia

Australia has been part of the F1 World Championship circus since 1985. TMA Commercial was briefed in November 2017 to develop a retail ‘spectacular’ for 20 flagship Woolworths stores - building on the association between Monster and the Mercedes F1 team, in particular, Lewis Hamilton.

Strategy

Since its entry into the F1 World Championship in 1985, Australia has been a vibrant participant in the thrilling motorsport. However, the F1 scene in the country has recently faced stiff competition from the ever-popular V8 Supercars, causing a loss of the WOW factor. Sensing the need for a game-changing retail merchandising campaign, TMA Commercial was entrusted in November 2017 to create a retail 'spectacular' for 20 flagship Woolworths stores, leveraging the association between Monster and the dominant Mercedes F1 team, particularly their superstar driver, Lewis Hamilton.

With the objective of capturing the attention and interest of shoppers, our strategy revolved around developing an authentic F1 car display that transcended the realm of ordinary 2D facsimiles. We wanted to create an awe-inspiring experience that interrupted and disrupted customers during their shopping journey.

Solution

The solution came in the form of 3D F1 car front-end and rear-end display pieces, meticulously designed to exude the WOW factor and steal the spotlight. We understood the challenges faced by store representatives who had to construct these displays in bustling locations, so we prioritized simplicity and ease of assembly during the design and modeling process.

Achievement

The culmination of our efforts was a jaw-dropping achievement—an impressive display that stood at three-quarters the size of a real F1 car. The sheer scale of the installation left onlookers awestruck, and it became the talk of the town. To ensure a smooth implementation process, we dispatched the display pieces directly from TMA Commercial to the stores, where the dedicated representatives promptly built them.

What made this project truly special was the opportunity for customers to claim these remarkable F1 car replicas for their own homes. Each store saw eager fans and racing enthusiasts eagerly taking home a piece of the F1 world, forming a deeper connection between the brand, the sport, and the customers.

Dante Torpia, GM -Sales says:

"We pride ourselves in delivering authentic solutions. The retailer loved the display so much that it generated talk-ability amongst the other key retailers who then demanded a display strategy of equal or greater in-store impact."

Feedback from the Client

I highly recommend TMA Commercial for their expertise as professional cardboard display builders. Their commitment to exceptional service and knowledgeable staff ensures a seamless experience, providing valuable assistance with your display needs.

City Skyline - Hanh

City Skyline - Hanh

Hahn’s branding is not a mainstream portfolio – using the latest brewing technology, the range of beers under Hahn’s logo is designed for modern Australians. Since 2015, TMA Commercial has been collaborating with creative agencies associated with Lion Beers. In early 2017, Geometry Global part of Ogilvy and Mather briefed TMA Commercial on a simplistic pallet topper to support the display of Hahn Superdry. GEO had presented 4 ideas to Lion – 1 being favored at the time TMA Commercial was briefed.

Strategy

With access to the most advanced technology in the digital printing industry, TMA Commercial knew they could implement a more innovative theme into the pallet topper. Fundamental to the brief, the marketing campaign required changes from ‘promotion’ to ‘brand’ – it was our duty to execute something interchangeable.

Solution

The key requirement was to develop a ‘standout’ piece of retail merchandising for bulk displays, which could showcase 6-packs and cartons.

Our merchandising solution combined the power of substantial product display with the significant messaging real estate to communicate the product’s unique qualities, as well as promotional concepts during the tactical campaign period. Shoppable from all sides, TMA Commercial established a pallet topper display unit that sat on top of 74 cases of beer (on a pallet).

From Launch to Ongoing Branding

Made specifically to showcase the ‘soft’ brand refresh, the display featured interchangeable media panels, allowing the unit to alter its communication from launch to ongoing branding.

Achievement

At TMA Commercial we are visionaries who seek the most innovative results – with City Skyline, we simply weren’t prepared to ‘quote and hope’!

Dante Torpia, GM Sales says:

"We take complete ownership with all projects – transforming challenge to opportunity – which is why projects like this are a testament to our talent in creating flagship display pieces that are truly respected by clients."

TMA Commercial for Iron Jack

TMA Commercial for Iron Jack

Point Of Sale Displays for Iron Jack Campaigns

Lion is a leading beverage and food company that includes being one of the largest brewers across Australia and New Zealand– Lion is owned by the Japanese brewer Kirin.

Brief:

TMA Commercial has been working with the creativeagencies associated with Lion Beers since early 2015.

Iron Jack is a true mainstream brand brewedwith our hot, rugged climate in mind. Developed as a head-on competitor to the Carlton and United Breweriesbrand Great Northern.  The story behindthe brand is the ongoing yarn about Iron Jack the legendary Australianoudoorsman himself and his adventures.

This launch (firstly, the mid-strength varient)was developed to be the most impactful beer launch in recent marketinghistory.  Scale and impact come withbudget scale but, also scale of thinking and creativity.

Strategy:

In the beer business ‘display equates withsales’ – if it’s on display, it willsell!  So, the key need was todevelop ‘standout’ retail merchandising units and bulk displays that showcasethis new product and it’s brand story.

Because Iron Jack is an outdoorsman a utedisplay and a boat display were both ‘must-haves’.  TMA Commercial was initially challenged to developa pallet size display that clearly reflected a ute.  When the full strength variant was launchedthe client came back to us with the challenge to evolve our thinking to reflectthe ‘tinnie’ boat that obviously, Iron Jack would use on his fishing trips.

As part of our solution, we developed a newpiece that we call a ‘ZU’ unit.  It’s atwo sided unit that can be erected to merchandise stock on both sides in a ‘Z’display format or one side in a ‘U’ display format.

Solution:

The thinking behind the TMA Commercial ute palletsize display unit was simply re-envisioned to become a boat – essentially, creative was able to changed-out and an outboard motor added.

The ‘ZU’ unit was created and presented speculatively but, the client loved its versatility and since it’s first appearance in liquor stores early in 2017, it has been re-configured and executed (as of July 2019)4 more times.

Key Achievements:

The launch of Iron Jack mid strength was classified by the client as the most successful beer launch in ten years. It’s success led to the launch of the full strength variant.  It was the success of the UTE that led TMA Commercial to be engaged to create the components (including the boat) associated with the full strength launch.
